Program Description

For students who want to work with vulnerable young people in residential, school, and community settings. The program covers trauma-informed intervention, mental health first aid, family systems, and restorative justice. Two intensive field placements (600 hours each) occur in semesters 4 and 6. Graduates often work in group homes, youth shelters, and school support roles.

Admission Requirements

Grade 12 English (C or U); vulnerable sector police check required after admission.

Career Outcomes

Child and youth worker, residential counsellor, school support worker, youth justice worker, family support worker.
